December 4, 2008 - Mechanicsburg, PA - Automation Systems Interconnect introduced the ASIST5 single level feed thru terminal block. This durable terminal block accepts a crimped ring tongue terminal in order to eliminate the concern of wire connection security. The robust design has a housing material of UL94V0 to ensure durability. For corrosion protection, the ASIST5 has nickel-plated screws and washers for to ensure reliability in any environment. The ASIST provides flat washer for more surface connection between the crimp terminal and wire. Washer is also used for securing and locking the screw. The ASIST provides excellent current capacity, with a large current carrying bar of over 77% more metal then similar models. The continuous groove from front to back of the terminal block increases creepage distances, eliminating problems from dust and other contaminant buildup. The ASIST5 is 9.2mm in width and has a wire range of 20 10 AWG. The sturdy block has a current rating of 35 amps at 600 volts and a location for inserting a bridge accessory to connect adjacent blocks. Accessories are available with the ASIST5. |
