Nakanishi introduces E3000 Brushless Motor and Spindle

March 21, 2007 - The E3000 Series is designed for small diameter milling, drilling, live tool machining, high-precision deburring and finishing.

The E3000 Series incorporates 3-phase brushless DC motors for extremely smooth rotation and very high power. The E3000 series offers maximum speed of 60,000 rpm and maximum power of 350W. The series includes 1 piece motor/spindles in Ø20mm, Ø25mm and Ø30mm sizes and modular Ø25mm and Ø30mm motors and spindles.

The modular motors can be connected with a wide variety of Ultra-Precision spindles, straight, short length, 5 different 90° Angle Types, quick tool change and direct chucking, air release collet ATC types.

The microprocessor based control unit can be integrated with a machine's controller to allow for automatic, unattended operation and monitoring. Automatic control of spindle On/Off, rotating direction, speed, spindle selection and system reset is possible. Automatic monitoring of, spindle rotation, speed, direction of rotation, load, warning signals, error signal, motor current, and command speed achieved is available.

A four spindle selector unit is also available. The E3000S allows a single E3000C control unit to sequentially control up to 4 motors. This feature allows users to
easily incorporate multiple live tool spindles into a single machine. Only one spindle can be operated at any one time.

The compact, high-speed, high-power, ultra-precision E3000 Series can easily be incorporated into almost any machine design.
