With the rugged design of the new National Instruments Compact FieldPoint product line, engineers and scientists, once challenged by extreme industrial environments, now can perform advanced measurement and control by integrating this intelligent distributed platform on a factory floor, within an industrial machine, or other remote locations.
Engineers now can use National Instruments LabVIEW embedded on compact industrial measurement I/O nodes to build real-time distributed monitoring and control systems. Using these nodes, powered by the new Compact FieldPoint Family of network modules, engineers can create reliable, stand-alone measurement and control solutions.
With the powerful and easy-to-use LabVIEW graphical programming, engineers can create customized applications that they can download to a real-time operating system running on a dedicated processor in the Compact FieldPoint Family of modules.
Systems based on the Compact FieldPoint Family are easy to develop, deploy, and maintain because of software configurability and modular, networked hardware. Each of these intelligent nodes can act as an independent component in a networked system and still communicate with a host Windows computer. Engineers also can integrate the modules into existing systems via Ethernet, and connect to or communicate with RS-232 serial devices.
