July 22, 2008 - CAS DataLogger announced dataTaker DT80G and DT85G geotechnical data loggers.
Based on the highly successful dataTaker DT80 line of data loggers, these new GeoLoggers provide an extremely versatile, easy to use solution for all geotechnical applications. Rugged design and construction provide reliable operation in the extreme conditions of a geotechnical environment.
These dataTaker GeoLoggers work with a host of geotechnical sensors including Extensometers, Piezometers, Inclinometers, Strain gauges, Pressure cells, Crack meters, Tilt meters and also support Carlson, Electrolevel and LVDT devices. They are expandable up to 300 channels and are compatible with all major brands of geotechnical sensors including Geokon, Slope Indicator, RST Instruments, Soil Instruments Roctest, and AGI - Applied Geomechanics Inc.
With built-in vibrating wire support, user-friendly configuration, and advanced communications options, these dataTaker GeoLoggers provide a comprehensive solution for monitoring in geotechnical installations. Whether stand-alone or networked, data can be recovered via USB memory stick, RS232, FTP, cell phone, ModBus, for SCADA, Ethernet or Web. The built-in web server allows direct access when connected to the internet without the need for polling or specific host software.
A built-in, back-lit LCD display and keypad allow real-time display of measured data and direct user interaction with the logger. This unit has an internal battery to provide for back-up or remote operation up to 21 days.
The DT80G and DT85G are supplied with the Delogger 5 PC software package to configure the data logger, monitor results as they are collected, download stored data, analyze measurements, and export data to other programs. LabVIEW instrument drivers and ActiveX controls are also available.
Advanced design and technology plus 25 years of geotechnical expertise have produced these advanced GeoLoggers The dataTaker DT80G data loggers start at less than $3100.
