| Fluke announces milliamp clamp meters | ||
|
||
June 3, 2009 - Fluke Corporation introduced two milliamp (mA) clamp meters designed to help technicians test critical automation and control circuits without breaking the circuit or interrupting operations. The Fluke 772 and 773 Milliamp Clamp Meters join the 771 to deliver a comprehensive range of test and measurement capabilities. Now technicians in process plants, industrial plants, commercial buildings and automation commissioning teams can choose exactly the range of capabilities they need, at a price that makes sense. These precision tools are designed for instrumentation technicians, contractors and process vendors who install and commission instruments, process and automation technicians, commercial electricians and automation specialists who do mA loop troubleshooting on process control circuits, instruments and automation I/O. The Fluke 771, 772 and 773 Milliamp Clamp Meters are engineered to accurately measure the minute amounts of current (4 to 20 mA signals) that flow through control system circuits, without having to shut down the system, break the circuit and insert a test instrument. Instead, sensitive current clamps placed on the wire detect and measure the current flowing through. Fluke is the only manufacturer making process mA clamp meters that dont break the loop. The result can be a significant savings in time and money that is more important than ever in tough economic times. Fluke estimates that a technician could save about $588 to $1038 a month, based on estimated hourly rates and the amount of time saved, using the Fluke 77x Milliamp Clamp Meters. All models feature: U.S. list price of the Fluke 772 is $695; list price of the Fluke 773 is $995. The Fluke 771 is priced at $499. About Fluke Fluke Corporation is the leader in compact, professional electronic test tools. Fluke customers are technicians, engineers, electricians, metrologists and building diagnostic professionals who install, troubleshoot, and manage industrial electrical and electronic equipment and calibration processes for quality control as well as conducting building restoration and remediation services. |
