| New Pluggable Circuit Breaker from WAGO Offers Re-Settable Circuit Protection |
 Germantown, WI, March 2003 Now available from WAGO is a pluggable thermal circuit breaker for the WAGO Series 282 DIN rail mount Cage Clamp terminal blocks. The circuit breakers are ideally suited for protection of power distribution systems, automation systems and process control applications. Combining the new thermal circuit breaker with the WAGO Cage Clamp terminal blocks ensures the reliability of a secure, maintenance-free, corrosion resistant connection that reduces wiring time and saves money. The plug-in circuit breaker features a push button reset, thus reducing downtime and allowing for easy, rapid trouble-shooting. It is a single pole circuit breaker, available in either switching or non-switching versions, for protecting circuits up to 10A. The switching function allows the breaker to manually connect or disconnect circuits while under load. Resetting a circuit breaker is much more efficient for our customers, explains Jim Bachle, Electrical Products Manager at WAGO. Not only does it save money by reducing downtime, but the need for maintaining an inventory of the right glass fuses is now eliminated. The WAGO circuit breaker is approved for a wide range of voltage applications, AC250V/DC65V, making it available for use with most AC and DC sensor circuits as well as providing overload protection for standard control circuits. Current ratings range from .1-10A. The slim, 6mm design saves panel space while providing for high-density population of circuits. Other key benefits include: · Base blocks that can incorporate neon or LEDs for additional circuit status indication · Ampere rating of the circuit breaker is clearly marked on the unit for clear visual confirmation of the circuit · Additional marking slot is provided for the WMB series marker · Jumper for easy potential commoning The new thermal circuit breaker from WAGO is competitively priced at $10.38 each, list price for the non-switching version and $11.45 list price for the switching version.
