Omron adds push-in terminals to G2RV-SL500 relays
November 11,2008 - Schaumburg, IL USA - Omron Electronic Components announces G2RV-SL500 series of SPDT super slim (only 6mm wide) industrial relays with push-in terminal socket option. The push-in terminal can be wired and disconnected quickly with minimal assistance from a flat blade screwdriver. Simply push the wire in to simplify wiring and save valuable installation time.

The relay and socket combination switches a substantial 6A at 250VAC/30VDC resistive load, and provides a typical life span of 100,000 operations. The G2RV relay features a strong mechanical pin with a large contact surface that ensures a reliable connection between socket and relay. The strength of the pin (46 times stronger than a conventional PCB type) means that it is less likely to be bent or damaged during installation.

Other maintenance-friendly features include a see-through casing giving visual assurance that the relay is making or breaking, a mechanical indicator window on the top surface which displays red when the relay is operational, and a green LED on the socket indicating that the coil is powered up. The G2RV carries UL, CSA, and VDE approvals and are available in coil voltages of 12, 24, and 48VDC or 24, 48, 110, & 230VAC.

The slim size of the G2RV meets the needs of machine and panel builders where DIN rail space is a premium. These relays are ideal for use in output control applications involving machine automation.

Other options available for the G2RV series include cross bars, PLC interface, cables for PLC interface, labeling, and separating plates

Relay and socket are sold as a combination, with relays available separately for maintenance purposes. MSRP for the G2RV-SL500 DC24 (DC21) is $10.18 net each in 500 piece quantities. Delivery is stock to 8 weeks.
