OMRON Scientific Technologies, Inc. - STI News
| New Safety Contact Strip Controller from STI offers Simple Operation |
FREMONT, CA Scientific Technologies, Inc. introduces the SCC-1DN-1224 din-mount Controller designed for use with all SCS safety contact strips. This controller is a category 3 control reliable device and features 120 VAC or 24 VAC/DC power input, automatic start-up testing, selectable Automatic Start and Start/Restart Interlock modes of operation, and four LED indicators for simple, reliable operation. When there is pressure against a safety contact strip the safety relays in the controller will transfer to the open state. When pressure is removed from the safety contact strip in Automatic Start Mode, the relays will transfer back to the closed state. When pressure is removed from the safety contact strip in Start/Restart Interlock mode, the safety relays will not transfer back to the closed state until the pushbutton or key-switch is reset. Safety Contact Strips can be used to safeguard many hazards, including gates, doors, machines and scissor lifts. With headquarters in the heart of Silicon Valley, STI was founded nearly 30 years ago and employs more than 350 people.
