The Souriau industrial Internet site brings together all the technical and commercial information available concerning interconnection systems for the industrial market, and it also features an online configurator. In just a few minutes, any user can define, in a simple, reliable way, the reference of the connector that best meets the requirements of the application concerned, among several thousand possible configurations.
The online configurator enables users to select the connector that best suits their requirements, in the light of their industrial applications. There are three types of access, classified by increasing order of user knowledge levels: via technical specifications, product ranges, and product reference. In the technical specifications mode, users specify application selection criteria such as resistance to corrosion or seal levels, and this enables them to determine the product range that best suits their requirements. In the product range mode, users start by specifying the product range that meets their requirements. Once the range has been selected, a set of questions and answers enables users to determine a product reference and obtain a customer drawing presented in a didactic, reliable form. In the product reference mode, users can enter a product reference directly and obtain the corresponding customer drawing.
All the technical information concerning products in the key TRIM TRIO industrial family is also available: new products, product catalogues, technical data sheets, and certificates of conformity. In just a few clicks, all users can also request a printed catalogue or a sample connector, ask a technical question, or find a distributor address.
Initially, only the TRIM TRIO family of connectors is shown on the site. It is highly generic and it is designed around a single modular base. The socket contacts are common to all the connectors in the family. This means that the contacts are also the same throughout the family, which provides full freedom when designing a connector on the basis of a very wide range of contacts: signal, power and broadband (Coaxial, optic fibres). Thanks to its modularity, its wide range and its extremely high levels of resistance in harsh environments, the TRIM TRIO family is positioned as the reference for industrial connection technology, and in particular for circular quick-release connections. Initially, the UTS, UTO, UTG, UTP, MBG, and UTV ranges, together with the corresponding contacts and tools, are integrated in the configurator available on the www.souriau-industrial.com site. The other ranges will be added in the coming months.
Further functions and new families will be added to the configurator as work progresses, such as personalized files with the history and records of the configurations for each user, or the possibility of obtaining an estimate.
