 August 23, 2006 - Buffalo Grove, Illinois - Carlo Gavazzi has expanded its already comprehensive range of three-phase monitoring relays to include the DPB71 and the DPC Series. These are three phase devices which are ideal for protecting machinery and people in instances where three phase voltage is used, such as with industrial automation machinery, switchgear and elevators/escalators. The DPB71 Series is constructed in a compact 81.5 x 35.5 x 67mm (H x W x D) housing which quickly snaps onto DIN rail. It can monitor for overvoltage, undervoltage, phase sequence and phase loss situations on 3 phase and 3 phase + neutral systems. It is provided in two ranges: 177 to 275VAC and 323 to 550VAC. The relay provides three adjustable potentiometers, one for the overvoltage setting, one for the undervoltage setting, and one for a 0.1 to 30 second adjustable delay to prevent nuisance trippings. The DPB71 also features three diagnostic LEDs (amber, red and green), as well as a 5A SPDT output. It also offers the choice of a one or six second fixed delay upon relay energization. The DPC01 Series is a True RMS monitoring device for over and under voltage, phase sequence, phase loss and asymmetry on 3 phase and 3 phase + neutral systems. It is capable of monitoring 50-60 Hz, but is also available in 50-400 Hz versions. It is available in ranges from 115VAC delta voltage through 690VAC delta or star voltage. The relay provides individually adjustable setting for undervoltage and overvoltage, and each setting has an adjustable 0.1 to 30 second adjustable delay. The DPC01 also feature three diagnostic LEDs (amber, red and green), as well as an 8A SPDT output. It also offers the choice of a one or six second fixed delay upon relay energization.
