| Newcon Data Wins a Breakthrough Order in Canada to Replace CNs Former Graphic Systems |
Västerås, Sweden November 2005 -- Newcon Data announced today Canadas largest railway has ordered one of Newcons latest colour graphic systems. The Systems are destined for use at CNs MacMillan Yard in Concord, Ont., north of Toronto. The new TessEm7000 Product will replace the railways older TESSELATOR-based technology. The TessEm7000 is a software product that emulates the ABB (originally ASEA) TESSELATOR 7000 family of color graphic systems. It runs on a standard PC under the Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 2000 operating systems. CN will use the technology to build a PC-based multi display workstation to control the switchyard. Jean Donato, project manager for CN, said: This Newcon software application is fully compatible with our former technology, so that we do not have to change the host application. This will save CN time and money.
