 February 4, 2008—Schaumburg, IL USA — Omron Electronic Components LLC announces the appointment of Nigel Blakeway as their new COO and Managing Director. Nigel previously served at Omron Component Business-European Union (OCB-EU) in Amsterdam as the COO. Blakeway spent his career in the Electronic Components Industry around the world, including 11 years for Matsushita [Panasonic Electronic Components] in Europe, Japan and AP, and five years with BC Components where he was responsible for Global Sales and Marketing and became Vice President of the Americas Region.
