Optek introduces C4000 Photometric Converter
GERMANTOWN, WI (12/27/2007) – Optek’s Control 4000 microprocessor-based photometric converter enables precision process monitoring and control. The flexible C4000 is designed for Optek ultraviolet (UV), visible (VIS), Near-Infrared (NIR) absorption-based and scattered-light based sensors.

  • Real-time photometric converter
  • Factory zero point for scattered light sensors
  • Simultaneous operation of up to four inline sensors
  • Readings in CU, ppm, EBC, FTU, g/L, etc.
  • Integrated data logger for quality control
  • Simple menu-based software
  • Advanced software tools
  • Remote process control functions

The new high contrast graphic display shows absorbance, transmittance and concentration in real-time and in any unit of measure such as CU, ppm, EBC, FTU, and g/l. These measurements may also be displayed as text, bar graphs or trend values.

The C4000 software includes adjustable signal damping, 16 linearization tables, and advanced calculation capabilities. As an additional feature for scattered light sensors, a factory zero point has been implemented. A new secondary zero for additional offset as well as a slope adjustment has also been added. This new manual adjustment can be used to compensate for long-term process related disturbances.

An integrated data logger captures vital process information for quality assurance and plant control records, which are easily transferred to a PC.

Optek is the world’s largest and most successful manufacturer of photometric instrumentation for industrial process automation. With over 25,000 installations, we will continue to lead the industry with ingenious innovations, superior service, and 24-hour support.
