LAS VEGAS, NV – May 8, 2008 – ITT Interconnect Solutions and PEI-Genesis, a distributor of interconnect solutions, have partnered in the worldwide assembly and distribution of ITT VEAM’s CIR Series multi-pin connectors. Partners with ITT for more than 50 years, PEI now builds finished connector products from ITT components, catering to customers who require low volumes and a quick turnaround.

“While all our connectors feature core components, there are millions of configurations that can produce the end product,” said Allan Hendry, vice president of sales for ITT Interconnect Solutions. “The service we have engaged in with PEI enables us to provide customers with almost any configuration in less than 48 hours. PEI has become a specialist in the knowledge of our core components, allowing them to service our customers quickly and seamlessly.”

The VEAM CIR Series multi-pin connectors can function as electrical, optical or pneumatic connectors, and is available in high voltage, twin- or tri-axial, hermetic and EMC versions, providing increased design flexibility along with a wide range of connector configurations.

“Our new state-of-the-art facility in South Bend, Indiana, coupled with our in-house design engineering and field applications teams, allows us to produce more than 32,000 parts per day,” said Russ Dorwart, chief operating officer of PEI-Genesis. “Since 1952, we have worked closely with ITT in the assembly and distribution of its connectors, and we look forward to continuing the successful partnership for many years to come.”

PEI’s South Bend, Indiana, facility houses complete process flow and automation equipment in 150,000 square feet of space. Approximately 65 percent of the orders PEI fulfills are in quantities of 10 pieces or less.
