Pepperl+Fuchs announces 5-Way Limit Switch Sensors

June 12, 2011 - Pepperl+Fuchs introduces 5-Way Adjustable Limit Switch Style Sensors for 10-30 VDC operation. The active sensing face of these 5-way adjustable sensors can be adjusted for front, top, bottom, left, or right facing targets, maximizing installation and operational flexibility. 4-corner LEDs guarantee 360 degree visibility, enabling users to easily monitor the sensors’ operating and switching state to help keep machines up and running. Category IP68/69K protection ensures robust and reliable operation even under the most extreme conditions and applications, enabling nearly unlimited application.

In addition to the flexible and robust operation of these sensors, technicians will benefit from installations that can be planned, serviced, and monitored with great convenience. For example, when replacing an existing or installing a new 5-way unit, users only need to replace the existing upper part of the sensor and can continue using the existing cabling in the base.

These sensors are available with sensing ranges of 15, 20, 30 and 40 mm, as well as flush-mountable 15 and 20 mm versions. They provide reliable operation in temperatures ranging from -25°C to +85°C. 3-wire DC, 4-wire DC and NAMUR models are available.
