Pepperl+Fuchs announces fieldbus Diagnostic Module

August 8, 2010 - Pepperl+Fuchs introduces the HD2-DM-A.RO Stationary Diagnostic Module with Relay Output. Easy to configure and simple to operate, the HD2-DM-A.RO is a cost effective physical layer monitoring and diagnostic solution that enables users to continuously monitor the jitter, noise and signal level of up to four Foundation fieldbus or Profibus PA fieldbus segments with a single module.

The HD2-DM-A.RO diagnostic module requires the smallest amount of engineering to put physical layer monitoring into practice. It quickly and easily snaps into the diagnostic module slot on any PowerHub motherboard, and puts no additional loading on the bus. A single relay contact input to the control system provides annunciation for the whole Power Hub.

The HD2-DM-A.RO is Zone 2/Div 2 mountable, and provides protection in accordance with IEC 60529, shock resistance in accordance with EN 60068-2-27 and vibration resistance in accordance with EN 60068-2-6. The module is ideally suited for entry level users who need to continuously monitor the fieldbus physical layer. Additional diagnostic solutions are available for more advanced users and applications.
