System is conformance tested by the ODVA to DeviceNet and Ethernet/IP standards July 28, 2006 - TWINSBURG, OH - The IDENT Control real-time RFID product identification and data collection now supports DeviceNet and Ethernet/IP bus systems. This functionality facilitates seamless connection to any DeviceNet scanner, or ControlLogix or CompactLogix system using Ethernet/IP. The incorporation of PCCC functionality also allows connection to SLC 5/05 and PLC 5 systems. IDENT Control provides operational flexibility by supporting IO sizes form 8 bytes up to 248 bytes. A multiplex option eliminates mutual interference challenges without programming changes, allowing all four system heads to operate simultaneously and in close proximity to one another. All read heads are available in frequencies of 125kHz, 250kHz, 13.56MHz, and 2.45GHz. IDENT Control is ideal for inventory, part identification, routing and error tracking applications. It features a graphical display and configuration keys for easy setup and operation, and a cast aluminum housing for rugged durability and exceptional noise immunity. Short range and long range RFID read/write data carriers can operate simultaneously, and can read data up to 120mm and 2m away, respectively. The system provides an interface to additional bus systems, including Ethernet (TCP/IP and Modbus/TCP), PROFIBUS, and RS232 serial communication.
