September 26, 2007 - PI (Physik Instrumente) offers a new brochure on Precision Miniature Linear Translation Stages. The brochure presents a variety of compact and sub-compact positioning stages, featuring sub-micron to sub-nanometer precision and closed-loop position feedback with linear encoders and capacitive gauges. Systems range from ballscrew-driven, palm-top sized stages with servo & stepper motors to thumbnail-sized piezo-motor driven stages for high-volume applications. High-speed stages are available with voice-coil motors, ultrasonic motors and piezo flexure drives. Non-magnetic and vacuum compatible versions are available as well. These precision stages are designed for applications in fields such as: About PI PI is the industry leader in ultra-precision motion control devices for nanoscale manufacturing, test and research applications.
