June 23, 2008 - For drives, efficient machine design and compact size are the basic principles for providing maximum flexibility. The new 8LT series three-phase synchronous motors from B&R provide machine and system manufacturers with a compact solution for the most demanding applications. Excellent dynamic properties and positioning precision help users easily master even the most difficult tasks. The permanently excited high-torque motors are available in two sizes. They are also available with self-cooled or externally-cooled options. The short, compact design of the motors can eliminate the need for angular gears in many cases. Thanks to the special design of the motor components, all motors are maintenance-free. The supply voltage of the high-torque motors ranges from 400 to 480 VAC. With a rated power of 0.11 to 21 kW, the motors can be easily integrated in a wide range of applications. The motors have an especially high power rating with a stall torque of 50 to 900 Nm. Embedded parameter chip for reliable identification All torque motors are equipped with an embedded parameter chip, which guarantees seamless identification of all device data. Using the integrated chip, important information such as serial number, type, manufacturer data, etc. can be read and registered electronically. As a result, it isn't necessary to remove components for identification. |
