PST introduces iStatus wireless condition monitoring system
March 31, 2010 – Predictive Sensor Technology (PST) introduces the iStatus wireless condition monitoring system. The iStatus system is an all in one box solution including transmitters, sensors and software needed to build a complete condition monitoring solution.

The PST iStatus solution is designed to minimize unplanned shutdowns and monitor utility usage across a broad range of manufacturing facilities. Key variables of equipment performance and life can be used to predict failure, provide alerts for maintenance action, increase uptime and lower MTTR. Contact temperature sensors are ideally designed for monitoring and reporting on motor operating conditions. Voltage, Current and frequency sensors integrate quickly to provide and log data on a variety of utility usage. Ambient environmental conditions can be reported and logged using the tri condition PST-THD.

Each transmitter can report up to three sensor conditions back to the iStatus monitoring software. The sensor options include; Temperature, Current, DC voltage, Temperature/Humidity/Dewpoint, and discrete contact. As a default the transmitter updates once every 12 seconds to optimize battery life and minimize RF traffic. Utilizing the non licensed 900MHz radio frequency the maximum range of the transmitter is 1200 feet. Multiple Ethernet or USB receivers can be spaced out across a facility to provide complete coverage.

iStatus software automatically stores the sensor data in a SQL database for easy access and historical traceability. Email notifications are easily configurable for all alarm thresholds.
