Article 4 of RoHS Directive requires new electrical and electronic equipment to be compliant by July 1, 2006. July 14, 2006 - Barneveld, WI: Quantum Devices, Inc. meets all applicable Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) regulations as of July 1, 2006 for electronic components and hardware. RoHS regulation states that new electrical and electronic equipment cannot exceed maximum concentration values for any homogenous material within the equipment. This will comply with the requirements of the European Union RoHS directive for all banned substances such as lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, and cadmium for products distributed in the EU. We will continue to offer our standard line for applications that do not require RoHS compliance as well as RoHS compliant devices. Both QD and QR encoders have been available since January 1, 2006. Quantum Devices, Inc. is committed to provide the quality and reliability that you would expect.
