| Red Lion enhances CUB7 counters and timers | ||

April 13, 2010 — Red Lion Controls announces the enhanced line of CUB7 counters and timers. By combining panel meter features and expanding capabilities, Red Lion reduced the total number of available units from 24 to 12 models that can be used across a broader range of applications. Compact CUB7 counters and timers are available in two input formats—low voltage (28 VDC max) and high voltage (50 to 250 VAC max)—and offer three liquid crystal display options to further enhance visibility: reflective, red backlight and green backlight. Enhanced CUB7 counters and timers feature front panel keypads that can be used to reset the display. These keypads are easily enabled or disabled via a single DIP switch—if no action is required from the front panel. Plus, input DIP switches allow low voltage models to accept sourcing or sinking inputs. Standard CUB7 models provide 22-gauge wires for external connections, and an optional wiring terminal block is available for customers who prefer wiring terminals. The CUB7 series is powered by an internal lithium battery, which delivers up to seven years of uninterrupted operation. Additional features of CUB7 counters and timers that make them particularly effective and easy to use include: “Red Lion offers a broad range of easy-to-program timers to meet versatile application requirements, as well as the most comprehensive selection of robust and reliable counters,” said Jeff Thornton, Red Lion Product Manager. “Now, the CUB7 line of elapsed timers and totalizing counters offer new capabilities and combined features, reducing the number of required models, while also enhancing their functionality.” Thornton adds, "CUB7 panel mounted meters provide an ideal solution for stand-alone applications, such as turnstiles, event counters and maintenance counters. Additionally, their extremely small footprint can save space when used in a panel requiring multiple readouts."
