GOLETA, CA – (May 11, 2008) RENCO Encoders announces the R22i optical incremental encoder that provides position feedback with optional commutation signals for brushless in a package only 22mm in diameter by 15mm long. Several optional bolt patterns are available and motor shaft sizes up to 4mm can be accommodated.
The optional 3 phase (U, V, W) commutation outputs are readily available for 4, 6, 8 and 10 pole brushless motors. Custom configurations can be ordered. Incremental encoder resolutions of 100 to 1024 line counts are available with A, B and Z (reference) channels.
The R22i comes ready to go from our factory, with no need for the user to perform any alignment process for the incremental outputs. The encoder is centered by the motor bearing pilot, and the gap is pre-set. Operation temperature is -30°C to +110°
