| Rexroth releases HNC100-3x servo drive for electrohydraulics | ||
|
||
May 9, 2007 - Bethlehem, PA - The HNC100-3x digital servo drive is a freely programmable, bus-capable NC control for electromechanical and electrohydraulic drives. It expands the range of tailored automated solutions of the HNC100 family by offering control of up to four electrohydraulic axes in one unit. The HNC100-3x offers enhanced modularity and flexibility with a more compact equipment architecture that makes installation easier and saves valuable control cabinet space. Rexroth has coupled this reduced size with improved performance; the HNC100-3x features increased computing power to handle more complex tasks. The result: reduced costs by squeezing more performance out of this compact, powerful unit. The HNC100 offers true axis synchronization. Open- and closed-loop control algorithms specifically tailored to the special characteristics of hydraulics make it easy to achieve optimum performance of electrohydraulic drives. In addition, the increased computing power of the HNC100-3x shortens scan rates. Up to eleven freely configurable digital I/Os increase automation flexibility. The customer can program the sequence via a PC using the HNCs WIN-PED software. The NC programming provides greater flexibility of the HNC, and it can complement existing user know-how with its common platform. As a standard, each HNC100 features a local CAN-bus, which can be used to link the individual drives for general data exchange or for implementing synchronization controls, resulting in a scalable automation concept using modular principles. Like previous generations of HNC100 controls, the HNC100-3x can communicate with higher-level controls via Profibus-DP, INTERBUS-S, INTERBUS-S with fiber optic cable, and CANopen fieldbuses. The HNC100 is also available with SERCOS interface, the most common communication system for electrical drives. This common bus architecture supports the Bosch Rexroth IndraMotion concept of finely scalable and interpolated electrical and hydraulic drive control structures, making total machine control and programming faster, easier, and more completely integrated than ever before. Bosch Rexroth AG, part of the Bosch Group, achieved sales of approximately $6.2 billion (4.9 billion Euro) in 2006 with over 29,800 employees. Under the brand name of Rexroth the company offers all drive and control technologies, from mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics to electronics and associated service. Over 500,000 customers worldwide utilize Rexroths unique technological know-how to implement their innovative and future-oriented systems and machine concepts. The global player, represented in over 80 countries, is an extensive supplier of components and systems for industrial and factory automation and mobile applications. |
