May 6, 2009 Robert Lowe (Bob) officially took over the reins as executive director of the Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) at the 16th annual CSIA Executive Conference, Thursday, April 30 - Saturday, May 2 in Naples, Florida. Lowe replaces recently retired Norm OLeary as the new face of CSIA. He is responsible for overseeing CSIA programs, meetings, certification and audits; developing and maintaining key relationships with CSIA members, partner executives, partner program managers and affiliate associations; representing the organization at affiliate and partner trade shows; and working with the CSIA Executive Council and committees to achieve their objectives. The newly vacated CSIA Executive Director position is being filled by both Lowe and Lynda J. Patterson. Patterson is the new president of CSIA responsible for managing the business and administrative functions including membership, meeting planning, finance, public relations and communications. Prior to becoming executive director, Lowe served as vice president of Loman Control Systems, Inc. which he co-founded and co-owned for 17 years. He served on the CSIA Best Practices and Benchmarks committee for eight years and was instrumental in designing the CSIA Certification audit. Additionally he authored sections of the Best Practices Manual when it was rewritten, and also authored articles on audit preparation. Loman Control Systems, Inc. was the third CSI in the nation to pass the CSIA audit, thus becoming CSIA Certified, and then recertified twice under Lowes leadership. Loman Control Systems, Inc. is a founding member of CSIA. Im grateful to have been given the opportunity to lead this vibrant and exciting organization," said Lowe. Norm has left big shoes to fill, but Im up to the challenge and committed to providing member-companies with the resources and support they need to be the industrys best. Control System Integrators Association provides its member-companies with the means to improve their business and executive management skills in support of the belief that being a good system integrator goes hand-in-hand with operating a good business. CSIAs trademark Certified Member program provides an industry-specific means for end-users to identify areas of importance and minimize the uncertainties in selecting a system integrator, while also offering a framework for integrators to evaluate and improve their own businesses. |
