New VersaView industrial computer models designed for use in both lighter and heavier industrial environments

MILWAUKEE, Aug. 21, 2006 - Industrial control users now have more options for selecting an industrial computer to best meet their cost, performance and application requirements with the expanded Allen-Bradley VersaView industrial computer line from Rockwell Automation. VersaView is the cost-effective, rugged family of industrial computers and monitors that are designed to meet the needs of virtually any industrial application - including visualization, control, information processing and maintenance.

VersaView products are the open computing platform of the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture, providing the flexibility users need for faster implementation of their visualization systems and improved system productivity.

From clean room environments in a pharmaceutical facility to heavy industrial automotive, food and mining applications, the expanded product line makes it easier for OEMs and end users to select a VersaView product to meet their computing needs.

“Choosing an industrial computer shouldn’t be a headache for OEMs and manufacturers,” said Scott Allan, marketing manager, Information Platforms Business, Rockwell Automation. “With the expanded VersaView product line, finding the right computing solution for customers’ environmental or application requirements is easier and more cost-effective.”

With features such as capacitive touch screens, class 1 division 2 certification, high-performance Pentium 4 processors and continuous-duty hard disk drives and mission-critical solid-state drives, the new VersaView line provides the quality, reliability and flexibility users demand of their industrial computers.

The expanded VersaView product line is currently shipping.
