RuggedCom Inc., Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada, October 25, 2006 RuggedCom announced the release of a new family of RuggedSwitch Ethernet switches that have Military Standard (MIL-STD) certifications. This new family of products includes: These products have various MIL-STD certifications including MIL-STD 901D (Shock), MIL-STD 167-1 (Vibration), MIL-STD 461E (EMI), and MIL-STD 810 (Temperature and Humidity). Ideally suited for a number of military applications including navy, army, and air force, as well as other extreme and demanding operating environments, these products have already seen acceptance in various US Navy applications.
