RuggedCom Inc., Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada, October 25, 2006 – RuggedCom announced the release of a new family of RuggedSwitch Ethernet switches that have Military Standard (MIL-STD) certifications. This new family of products includes: These products have various MIL-STD certifications including MIL-STD 901D (Shock), MIL-STD 167-1 (Vibration), MIL-STD 461E (EMI), and MIL-STD 810 (Temperature and Humidity). Ideally suited for a number of military applications including navy, army, and air force, as well as other “extreme” and demanding operating environments, these products have already seen acceptance in various US Navy applications. “The availability of MIL-STD certified products is a natural extension for RuggedCom,” explains Pino Porciello, Director of Marketing for RuggedCom. “RuggedCom is committed to providing the most rugged and reliable Ethernet networking technology for use in harsh and extreme operating environments.
