Safety Automation Forum at Automation Fair

October 4, 2011 - Manufacturers interested in learning how to further help protect personnel and equipment – all while still increasing productivity – can gain valuable insight from industry specialists and peers at this year’s Safety Automation Forum at McCormick Place West in Chicago, Nov. 14 and 15.

Manufacturing innovators, decision-makers, designers and engineers alike converge at Safety Automation Forum, created by Rockwell Automation, to share firsthand experiences in using machine, process and electrical safety technologies. This year’s lineup boasts industry specialists from PepsiCo, L’Oréal, the International Society of Automation (ISA) Mexico, Malt-O-Meal, Curt G. Joa Inc., and Rockwell Automation. They'll share best practices to help increase worker safety, improve business performance, foster a safety-oriented companywide culture, and meet compliance with global standards. Keynote speaker David Sarkus, author of “The Safety Coach” books will explain the three most important strategies to create and sustain safety excellence through a world-class safety culture.

Participants can also participate in instructor-led breakout sessions focused on legal considerations for safety automation, the business justification for safety investments, and how to improve safety through arc-flash technology and scalable process safety solutions.

The day-and-a-half-long Safety Automation Forum sets the stage for this year’s Automation Fair event – the premier automation industry event scheduled for Nov. 16 and 17. This event features technology exhibits, technical sessions, hands-on labs and industry forums.

Rockwell Automation, Inc. (NYSE: ROK), the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and information, makes its customers more productive and the world more sustainable. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wis., Rockwell Automation employs about 20,000 people serving customers in more than 80 countries.
