Rueil-Malmaison, July 3, 2007 – Schneider Electric’s human resources challenges are becoming increasingly complex and wide ranging due to the Company’s pace of growth and the globalization of its business. To meet these challenges more effectively, the Human Resources function has been divided into two main functions —one strategic and the other operational—reporting to Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of Schneider Electric. The Strategic Resources and Organization function will be headed by Jean-François Pilliard, Executive Vice President Strategic Resources and Organization and member of the Executive Committee. Jean-François Pilliard will be responsible for: Jean-Frannçois Pilliard has been Executive Vice President, Human Resources at Schneider Electric since 1996. He is also an associate professor at Université de Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) and, since March 2000, Chairman of the French national association for adult professional training (AFPA). - The Corporate Human Resources function will be headed by Karen Ferguson. Formerly Senior Vice President, Human Resources of the European Operating Division, Karen Ferguson has been appointed Executive Vice President, Human Resources and a member of the Executive Committee. Karen Ferguson will be responsible for: Karen Ferguson joined Schneider Electric in 1995 and held several managerial positions within the Human Resources Department at Schneider Electric United Kingdom. She was appointed Vice President of Human Resources at Schneider Electric UK in 2001. Two years later, she moved to Copenhagen to become Vice President, Human Resources of the Nordic/Baltic zone. Since 2005, she has been Senior Vice President, Human Resources, of the European Operating Division, based in France. Karen Ferguson, 42, holds a degree in Humanities from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom. She earned an MBA from Cass Business School, City of London, in 1990.
