| Scientific Technologies, Inc. Introduces Metal Body Safety Interlock Switch |
FREMONT, CA Scientific Technologies, Inc. introduces the new Metal Body T4016 Series safety interlock switch. These switches are designed for a minimum of two million actuations. They are available in a variety of 4 contact pole versions that provide 2 poles for dual channel safety monitoring, with 2 additional poles for status monitoring. A narrow profile allows the T4016 to be mounted on 2-inch square tubing, or in applications with space restrictions. The rotatable head provides eight possible actuator positions for versatile installation. The strong, NEMA 6, all-metal housing and stainless steel actuator allows this switch to be used in many applications while withstanding water washdown cleaning. The T4016 conforms to all appropriate European safety standards and is UL, C-UL and CE listed. An optional heavy-duty slide bolt provides an integral door handle and includes an actuator. The slotted hole in the slide bolt permits the attachment of multiple padlocks. With headquarters in the heart of Silicon Valley, STI was founded over 30 years ago and employs more than 350 people.
