Scientific Technologies, Inc. Introduces New Area Sensors for Object Detection in Non-safety Applications
FREMONT, CA – Scientific Technologies Inc. introduces the AS6000 Area Sensor. A long-range detection sensor for non-safety applications, the AS6000 features a 15-meter range, response time as fast as 24 ms and a compact 31 mm x 32 mm cross-section to detect objects as small as 30 mm in diameter. Industry-standard M12 connectors facilitate fast, easy installation.

This AS6000 requires no separate controller and is Ideal for factory automation applications requiring object detection of moderate to large size. It can also be used as a low cost vehicle detection solution. Offering NPN or PNP outputs, and capable of switching high current loads to 250 mA DC, the AS6000 is easy to interface to almost any control system.
