| Southco introduces EA-P1 PIN/proximity card reader | ||
|
||
November 22, 2009 The Southco EA-P1 PIN/proximity card reader enables keyless entry in a self-contained unit for simplified access management. The reader provides increased security over mechanical access systems, and the cost-effective combination reader is designed for use with all Southco electromechanical latches. Easy to install, program and use, the self-contained EA-P1 unit simplifies the transition from mechanical to electronic access. An LED and audible beeper provides feedback during software-free programming, and the flexible PIN/proximity card combination accommodates multiple users with up to five unique PIN codes and 9,999 proximity cards. A relay output integrates directly with electronic locks, and programmable output timing enables multiple access arrangements. Useful industry wide, the plug-and-play readers functionality makes it an ideal solution for enclosures, medical equipment, self-service applications and secure storage environments. |
