December 18, 2008 - SENA Technologies released LTC100 serial converter which converts RS232 signals to RS422 or RS485 signals and vice versa. LTC100 helps take advantage of RS422 or RS485 on systems originally equipped with RS232 without changing any hardware or software of the legacy systems. The LTC100 does not require any software driver installation, and RS422/RS485 mode can be selected by slide switch conveniently. RS422 mode supports up to 10 devices to be connected together and RS485 mode supports up to 32 devices. Maximum communication distance is supported up to 1.2Km and maximum serial speed is 921.6Kbps. The LTC100 is fully compatible with PC serial COM port. The LTC100 operates without external power supply (port-powered), and optional external DC power supply is also available. Built-in surge protector up to 15kV is equipped, and communication status can be monitored using LEDs. RTS auto toggling is also supported with the LTC100. |
