November 2005 - Machine Automation is pleased to announce that Shell Canada Ltd. has recently ordered an upgrade to the AlarmAnalyst Process Suite software for deployment at their Sarnia manufacturing facility. AlarmAnalyst presents graphical on-line representations of the state of a process plant using alarms, events and operator actions. AlarmAnalyst Process Suite adds trends of process variables with the alarm, operator action and system event data superimposed. Time stamps on all values are obtained from the control systems, as part of the acquired data, for a true sequence of events analysis.
