November 2, 2010 - Siemens Industry announced its industrial grade Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 Plug with FastConnect connectors. The RJ45 Plug can be quickly and easily installed without special tools. Integral FastConnect connectors enable fast and fault-free RJ45 plug assembly. The RJ45 Plug’s robust metal housing provides dependable electromagnetic shielding, as well as tensile strain relief for the IE FC cable. Additionally, a connector latching feature, available with all Scalance switch housings, resists bending and tensile loads on the connector. The latching feature also protects the RJ45 jack of the unit against mechanical stress in industrial applications. About Siemens: A division of Siemens Industry, Inc. (SII), the Industry Automation (IA) Division is a global leader in the fields of automation systems, low-voltage switchgear and industrial software. IA’s portfolio ranges from standard products for the manufacturing and process industries to enterprise-wide automation solutions for automobile production facilities and chemical plants. With nearly 43,000 employees worldwide, Industry Automation posted worldwide revenues of $9.6 billion in fiscal year 2009. |
