| Siemens Introduces Two New Panel PCs for Industrial Requirements & Rugged Applications | |||

 Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. is unveiling two new Panel PCs – The SIMATIC® Panel PC577 for industrial requirements, and the SIMATIC Panel PC 477 for rugged applications. Ideal for standard industrial environments and adaptable to many applications, the SIMATIC Panel PC 577 is equipped with an Intel® Pentium® 4 processor with 2.4 GHz and RAM that can be expanded up to 3 GB. A USB 2.0 port is integrated in the front of the unit for quick data storage. The Panel PC 577 is also equipped with an Ethernet port.  The rugged SIMATIC Panel PC 477 works without rotating fans, hard disks, and other components, making it well suited for maintenance free operations. The Panel PC 477 is available with a wide variety of Pentium processors up to 933 MHz. Two Ethernet ports, three USB 2.0 ports, one COM1 port, one VGA port, and a MPI/PROFIBUS connection are integrated into the unit. An expandable, compact design and shallow 75mm installation depth also make the Panel PC 477 suitable where space is a premium.
