LoadOut Technologies announces Smartphone controller
December 28, 2009 - LoadOut Technologies unveiled a mobile system that allows bulk material operators to use an Apple iPhone/iPod Touch to monitor and control the loading process. LoadOut is engineered to meet the demanding requirements across a variety of industry sectors including: mines, quarries, fertilizer plants, bio-solids, steel, trash, concrete, grain terminals, and asphalt.

The system was developed to improve safety and efficiency at material handling facilities. Focus has especially been placed upon sites that require one or more employees to control loading equipment at outbound commodity facilities. This also applies to locations where the truck driver is expected to perform the process alone.

Adverse weather, loud noises, harmful dust particles and moving parts from motors are all inevitable realities within the industrial environment. Respiratory issues, slips, falls, and number of other scenarios can make bulk loading challenging for employees. Aside from the affect on humans, these factors also reduce the effectiveness of site operations.

LoadOut is simple for people to use yet can be integrated into the most complex bulk material handling facilities. When the operator arrives at the loading site they just turn the system on, open the app, and visually monitor and control the process from their phone.

A number of features are incorporated to ensure safety of the operator. Encrypted access, human response timers, and a uniform control sequence are a few examples. LoadOut is protected by US and Foreign patents pending.
