May 16, 2010 - Softing released an enhanced version of its PROFIBUS Driver (V5.45) for its popular PROFIBUS interface boards. The new driver version significantly improves the operation of Softing's PROFIBUS interface board family and includes support for Microsoft's most recent operating system: Windows 7 64-bit Windows 7 32-bit Softings PROFIBUS boards are globally used in a wide range of applications including compact slave solutions, solutions for mobile devices, operation and visualization terminals, real-time machine controls, and extended temperature-range applications. On request, Softing's experienced development team will rapidly modify the interface board hardware and/or protocol software to specific customer requirements. Every PROFIBUS product from Softing is backed by our customer-oriented support team. No matter where in the world our customers are located, professional support is only one phone call away. Softing's interface boards for PROFIBUS act as Master and/or Slave and are designed to support the following protocols: Drivers for a wide range of operating systems and real-time environments are available. This includes but is not limited to: PROFIBUS Communication DTMs, PROFIBUS OPC servers, and S7/S5 OPC servers run on Softing's Windows-specific architecture.
