Softing upgrades OPC Toolbox
January 26, 2009 - Softing announced a new version of its industry-hardened OPC Toolbox. Softing’s OPC Toolbox is a collection of OPC Toolkits for the rapid development of conformant OPC DA, AE, and XML-DA Clients and Servers.

The new OPC Toolbox Version 4.22 contains a critical mass of new and intriguing features. Using Softing’s OPC Toolbox enables every software designer to concentrate on his/her project goal and not on learning the intricacies of DCOM, SOAP, or other technologies.

Softing has specifically designed its OPC development tools to manage today’s legacy requirements, while at the same time ensuring the easy migration from OPC DA, AE, and HDA to OPC UA.

Please feel free to download Softing’s new OPC Toolbox Version 4.22 from our web site. The fully featured demo version will run for 90 minutes before it requires a restart.

  • The included Wizard application will guide the developer through a series of steps to create a customized OPC Client or Server application.
  • The OPC Toolbox Version 4.22 includes new tutorials for C++ that explains every step necessary to rapidly develop an OPC Client or an OPC Server. In addition, the included product manual provides detailed information on every Wizard-step.

Enhanced OPC Client and OPC Server samples
