January 31, 2011 - Software Toolbox announces version 7 of the Cogent DataHub, which can connect, integrate, store and use real-time industrial process, embedded systems and financial systems data. The Cogent DataHub, from Cogent Real-Time Systems, builds on the success of the OPC DataHub that offers OPC tunneling, bridging and connectivity to databases, Excel and the Web. New features of the Cogent DataHub include the ability to switch between redundant OPC servers to store real-time histories of millions of data changes per second and display trend graphs of data points in real time. This new version also includes the first release of DataHub WebView. DataHub WebView is a rich Internet application for designing and delivering high-quality, real-time displays. All page editing is done in a standard Web browser, such as Internet Explorer, and page updates can be automatically published as soon as changes are saved. Page designers have access to standard controls, gauges and 4,000 industry-standard symbols which can be easily configured to recognize condition states and to graphically notify operators of process status and anomalies. All controls feature "anything-to-anything" data binding. “Software Toolbox offers many OPC-related products, and the Cogent DataHub complements them by providing a tool users and integrators leverage to offer quick, reliable ways to connect and use process data,” said John Weber, president at Software Toolbox. “Since the start of our partnership with Cogent Real-Time Systems in 2006, users have combined the Cogent DataHub technologies with other Software Toolbox products to solve information and data integration challenges in many industries. New capabilities in version 7 of the Cogent DataHub expand user choices to connect, integrate and use data that other Software Toolbox products deliver. It also integrates information into higher-level automation, control and business systems.” Software Toolbox is the master distributor for the Cogent DataHub for the United States, Canada, Mexico and South Africa. "The Software Toolbox team has proven to be highly competent and responsive to its clients’ needs and a reliable partner," said Andrew Thomas, president of Cogent Real-Time Systems. "The company is very technically knowledgeable about OPC, and its outstanding customer service and support combined with complementary products add value to the Cogent DataHub offering." ABOUT SOFTWARE TOOLBOX Since 1996, Software Toolbox has been an industry source for industrial automation software, from project conception to completion. The company has served more than 10,000 clients in 110 countries helping them find, evaluate, purchase and support automation software solutions. These solutions include OPC servers, clients, development toolkits, HMI/SCADA add-ins/enhancements, and ActiveX and .NET development tools for Visual Studio C#/VB/C++. Software Toolbox works with its clients in all phases of projects to help them find and determine the right tools to use and to support overall project objectives and maximize their industrial software results. |
