January 28, 2010 - SUBNET Solutions announced the 2010 training schedule for hands-on DNP3 and substation automation courses, developed for electrical utility personnel. Since 1996 SUBNET has trained thousands of automation professionals from hundreds of utility and vendor companies. SUBNET's protocol classes are particularly popular due its open-standards approach, versus the more vendor-specific methodology. SUBNET's courses will be offered throughout 2010 in major centers across the United States and Canada, including Los Angeles, Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Dallas, Seattle, and Phoenix. Regional training offerings mean that utilities can have their personnel trained more quickly and conveniently. Monthly training sessions are also available at SUBNET's Calgary headquarters. SUBNET provides comprehensive training delivered by system integrators with real-world experience. SUBNET's training curriculum enables participants to quickly gain knowledge that can be immediately applied in their jobs. SUBNET's training has been embraced by all of the top 10 Fortune 500 utilities. "SUBNET continues to support the widely-adopted DNP3 protocol", says Thomas Man, Systems Engineer and Instructor with SUBNET. "Our courses help SCADA engineers and other utility personnel evaluate, test, implement and troubleshoot multi-vendor substation communication devices. We are seeing the need for training increase as industry focuses more and more on Smart Grid technology and interoperability." SUBNET has released its complete 2010 training schedule so that companies can plan travel and budgets now. For utilities considering training multiple personnel, SUBNET offers on-site training classes. This approach to learning enables utilities to customize classes to their individual requirements, minimize travel expenses and reduce downtime. About SUBNET SUBNET Solutions Inc. is a global software solutions provider for electrical utilities. SUBNET focuses on Making Substations More Intelligent(R). Founded in 1992, SUBNET is an industry leader providing intelligent solutions that securely connect real time electrical utility field information with utility business systems to enable Smart Grid solutions.
