NEWTOWN, CT/April 10, 2008 — Today, product safety is global manufacturers’ most pressing concern, making Germany’s GS Mark a valuable certification. A CE Marking gives products a passport to the European Union’s market but does not confirm third-party safety testing has occurred. According to TÜVRheinland, manufacturers are taking a closer look at the GS Mark because it verifies ongoing product safety testing.

Manufacturers can learn about the GS and CE Markings, with details about their purposes and differences, in a new white paper by TÜVRheinland. The article also provides the latest update on Europe’s requirement to test Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons for GS Mark certification.
