Thiele names Kip Boie VP Sales & Marketing

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — March 22, 2007 — Thiele Technologies announced the appointment of Kip Boie to the position of Vice President of Sales & Marketing. In this role, Boie will be responsible for providing a strategic vision to the sales and marketing leadership team and will lead the attainment of profitable new machinery revenue growth.

Boie is a seasoned sales and marketing leader with 21 years experience in technology driven capital equipment companies, such as MTS Systems, Despatch Industries and August Technology. In addition, he has demonstrated the ability to direct successful growth initiatives in international markets, including Europe, Asia and Latin America. Boie received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Wichita State University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.

Thiele Technologies has continued its commitment to a balanced and diversified market strategy with a series of acquisitions beginning in June 2005 with Edmeyer, Inc., a well-known manufacturer of packaging equipment for the dairy industry. In April 2006, Thiele’s growth initiatives continued with the purchase of Slidell, Inc., which expanded its range of bagging and palletizing applications for customers in the chemical, feed, seed and other bulk material handling markets.

In November 2006, Thiele announced an agreement to acquire Streamfeeder, LLC, which expanded its presence in the commercial printing, packaging and mail fulfillment sectors. And in February, Thiele completed its fourth acquisition, SWF Companies of Reedley, Calif., which positioned Thiele as one of the largest system manufacturers of primary, secondary bagging, cartoning, case packing and robotic packaging solutions across a broad spectrum of industries.

Each of these acquisition opportunities has allowed Thiele to provide its growing customer base with superior access to a comprehensive line of high-speed packaging machinery solutions, as well as one of the industry’s largest field service organizations.
