November 18, 2010 - Tridium announced Niagara Enterprise Security solution Release 2.1. New capabilities and features include: Niagara Enterprise Security provides a reusable software platform for manufacturers that allows for the development and integration of various security components, including visitor management, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion. Built on the industry leading Niagara Framework, the security application seamlessly integrates with other building automation systems, including lighting and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, elevators, fire systems, and more. Manufacturers benefit in cost savings, time saved in application development, time to market and resources required for development. For building owners and end users, Niagara Enterprise Security provides unparalleled interoperability not only within traditional security environments, but also extends seamlessly to create a unified, intelligent building by integrating with today's diverse facility systems including environmental controls, lighting, energy management, fire and video. The end results are buildings that use less energy, have lower operating costs, are safer, contribute to sustainable environments and deliver significant ROI. "We continue to make major investments in the capabilities and scalability of the Niagara AX Framework as an enabling platform for security management solutions. This release has something for everyone - manufacturers, system integrators, end users and developers," said Marc Petock vice president global marketing and communications for Tridium. "These new additions leverage Niagara's scalability and flexibility and provide many benefits that support today's facility security integration and automation challenges." About Tridium Inc. Tridium is the global leader in open platforms, application software frameworks, automation infrastructure technology, energy management and device-to-enterprise integration solutions. Technologies extend connectivity, integration and interoperability to the millions of devices deployed in the market today and empowers manufacturers to develop intelligent equipment systems and smart devices that enable collaboration and communication between the enterprise and edge assets. |
