Tridium enhances Niagara Enterprise Security Solution

November 18, 2010 - Tridium announced Niagara Enterprise Security solution Release 2.1. New capabilities and features include:

  • Security Framework - Improved core framework that facilitates faster time to market and reduced time to market for security focused applications
  • Simplified Personnel Entry View - Allows for personnel, badge and access right management on a single page versus a tabbed approach
  • Guided Wizard Setup - Step-by-step guided wizard to walk users through basic setup steps for a minimum system configuration
  • Reports - Several new reporting features have been added including a process to automatically schedule a report, create a PDF, and email the PDF file to a select list of email recipients. Others include Enhanced Reports by Date and Time that provides the ability to specify report ranges by both date and time of day specifications; New Cardholder Configuration Reports that provide the ability to access configuration information that list all access rights and doors assigned to an individual or group of individuals.

    • Niagara Enterprise Security provides a reusable software platform for manufacturers that allows for the development and integration of various security components, including visitor management, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion. Built on the industry leading Niagara Framework, the security application seamlessly integrates with other building automation systems, including lighting and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, elevators, fire systems, and more. Manufacturers benefit in cost savings, time saved in application development, time to market and resources required for development.
