September 26, 2007 - Minneapolis, Minn. TURCK Inc. announces its new EtherNet/IP piconet gateways. The gateways are available with either eight M8 picofast or four M12 eurofast connectors, and they provide four points of digital I/O. The piconet gateway has two fiber-optic connectors to add modules and increase the number of I/O points on a single node. A new extension module is also available to provide an additional eight inputs and outputs, and the modules terminal strips feature cage clamp technology for simple mounting inside a panel. Up to 255 extension modules may be connected to each gateway. TURCK has also improved its IP-Link fiber-optic communication system to allow up to 15 meters between modules. This innovation enables users to encircle an entire machine with I/O using a single node on the network. TURCK is an industry leader providing superior quality sensing, connectivity and network products to help manufacturers improve their automated processes. |
