December 12, 2007 - Melbourne, Australia - German-based Hans Turck GmbH & Co. KG, a leading manufacturer of products designed for factory and process automation industries, has founded TURCK Australia Pty Ltd in Melbourne. TURCK Australia Pty Ltd was incorporated as a full subsidiary in August 2007. Prior to this, TURCK products have been distributed in Australia by Micromax, who will remain TURCKs distribution arm for factory automation focused products with the full support of the new local subsidiary to help grow the TURCK market. The company is already positioned well where TURCK products are traditionally represented, such as in the automotive industry, says Cameron Dwyer, managing director of TURCK Australia, but the need was evident for a direct guiding hand to help position TURCKs emerging products, such as process control and RFID. TURCK Australia aims to become a strategic partner in a customers growth, rather than just another supplier. There are many new products in TURCKs portfolio that will enhance the Australian marketplace, adds Dwyer. For instance, TURCKs asset management technology and individual barrier products for process control, along with RFID packages and advancements in fieldbus technology, can aid many manufacturers in industrial and process automation companies. The expansion is part of TURCKs desire to aggressively expand its global business platform. TURCK currently employs over 2,600 people in 25 countries and strives to offer customers the best products promptly, reliably and flexibly. TURCK is dedicated to expanding this operation rapidly and changing its market position to that of one of the market leaders in Australia, adds Dwyer. TURCK customers are constantly evolving, and its important for TURCK to adapt to the needs of those customers. A local subsidiary will help us achieve this considerably. The companys extensive line of products includes advanced sensors, measurement, instrumentation, connectivity, interface and networks for factory & process automation markets that meet clients' application demands. |
