October 3, 2008 - VarTech Systems released 10.4" panel mount computers with NEMA 4 (IP65) and NEMA 4X (IP66) protection ratings as well as fully sunlight readable models.
VarTech's 10.4" Panel PCs are high performance, space saving solutions integrated with resistive touch screens for true stand alone operational functionality. They are equipped with high powered Pentium processors and 1GB of system memory.
The new sunlight readable high bright 10.4" panel PC models utilize an LED enhanced LCD panel with an impressive 800 nits of screen brightness. They are also optically bonded for extreme contrast enhancement in direct sunlight as well as higher shock and vibration tolerance. These high bright units are equipped with VarTech's hardened ultra rugged ArmorTouch touch screen system.
The new 10.4 NEMA 4 rated model has a black powder coated, sealed front bezel. NEMA 4 protection on the front bezel means this model is protected from splashing water and air-born dust and dirt particles. The new NEMA 4X rated models have a high grade 316 stainless steel front bezel. A NEMA 4X rating protects it from hose directed water and air-born dust and dirt particles and adds corrosion protection.
