Research Triangle Park, NC (18 March 2008) - WBF is accepting technical papers for the WBF 2008 European Conference. This year's theme, Bridging the Divide between IT and Manufacturing, will provide attendees with insight into the successful application and use of current, new, and cutting-edge manufacturing management, integration, and control methods and technologies. The conference, scheduled to take place November 10-12 in Barcelona, Spain, will serve as a forum for professionals to work toward bridging IT and manufacturing through the sharing of lessons learned and real world experiences through networking opportunities and information exchange with other professionals. Attendees will walk away with better insights into what works and why. The WBF European Conference Committee is accepting abstracts and papers for the 2008 European Conference. The complete call for papers can be found at www.wbf.org/europe08. Key subject areas include ISA88, ISA95/B2M Integration, Business Process Modeling at the Production Level, Production Related KPIs, Product Lifecycle Management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Production Automation, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and human and organizational aspects of MES. Submissions can be made at www.x-cd.com/wbfeur08/abstract.cfm. The deadline for submission is May 1, 2008. The WBF European Conference Committee is also looking for volunteers to help review abstracts and papers. Many papers will address ISA88- and ISA95-related topics. Each reviewer will be assigned 2-3 abstracts to begin reviewing in May 2008, with the papers to be reviewed in July, 2008. About WBF WBF provides an open forum for the exchange of information related to the management, operation, and automation of manufacturing processes.
