Research Triangle Park – July 11, 2007 - The WBF 2008 North American Conference Call for Papers has been released, with an abstract submittal deadline of October 12, 2007. Papers may include case studies, current and evolving manufacturing methods and technologies, and implementation of industry standards including ISA-88, ISA-95, ISA-99, B2MML, and Make2Pack.

The conference will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, March 24 - 27, 2008. The conference, with its theme of "Shaping the Future of Manufacturing," will give attendees a greater understanding of current and upcoming manufacturing management, integration, and control methods and technologies.

Keynote speakers, panels, discussion forums, and individual presentations will focus on a wide range of automation topics and case studies from batch and continuous industrial applications. In addition, WBF's collaborative activities with ISA, OMAC, and MESA will provide a broad and balanced view of the world of manufacturing innovation.

The conference is designed to help attendees learn from presentations and tutorials, given by individuals who have actually utilized the technology that they're discussing. WBF is soliciting papers consistent with the conference theme and the organization's dedication to providing first hand accounts of technology implementations, optimizations and process improvements.

For more information on the conference, to read the Call for Papers, or to submit an abstract, call (919) 314-3970 or visit www.wbf.org/nac2008.
