LAKE FOREST, Calif., Jan. 25, 2006 -- Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys Systems Inc., today announced that its Enterprise Integration Application 2.0 has completed certification as part of the SAP's "Interoperability Certification " program, which recognizes applications that integrate industry standards such as ISA-95.

Wonderware's Enterprise Integration Application enables manufacturers to improve operational performance by integrating diverse sets of manufacturing systems and business applications to achieve greater levels of business productivity.

Market adoption of the ISA-95 standard is rapidly increasing as companies focus on achieving manufacturing-to-enterprise integration. For more than a year, Wonderware has worked closely with SAP and a set of early adopter end-users to implement ISA-95-based software solutions.

"Wonderware and SAP have collaborated to accelerate the adoption of the ISA-95 standard for the manufacturing industry," said Mark Davidson, Wonderware's vice president of global marketing. "Wonderware software, built on ArchestrA and Microsoft technology, and SAP's NetWeaver® are the key enablers for achieving accelerated time-to-value, reduced cost of ownership and rapid adoption of system changes at a lower risk when integrating manufacturing processes."

Wonderware's certified enterprise integration application leverages SAP's NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (XI) and open plant system integration capabilities from Wonderware to create a standard B2MML XML implementation of the ISA-95 standard. As a result, Wonderware is now qualified by SAP as "Certified for SAP NetWeaver," which is the first step in receiving the "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" partner status.

"Achieving SAP certification reflects Wonderware's commitment to helping manufacturers achieve operational excellence by reducing the complexity and costs of business-to-manufacturing integration," said Davidson. "By offering an ISA-95-enabled manufacturing solution with a certified interface to SAP, customers can reuse their integration efforts across multiple manufacturing facilities and create an infrastructure that is maintainable for the long term.

"Not only will this benefit the majority of our customers, who also are SAP customers, but being 'Certified for SAP NetWeaver' enables Wonderware to expand installations of its enterprise integration solution to the broad SAP customer base. We also can give SAP customers opportunities to take advantage of industry standards that support real-time manufacturing enterprises," said Davidson.

Wonderware's Enterprise Integration Application is part of Wonderware's production and performance management software solution offerings, which include a complete range of applications, such as manufacturing execution system, reporting, analysis and key performance indicator functionality. Leveraging the Wonderware Enterprise Integration Application, manufacturers have the architectural freedom, flexibility and scalability to adapt to local plant requirements and budgets. This enables companies to strive for increased profitability through standardization efforts for operational excellence across the enterprise.
